Our School
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year!
Marion Jordan School's mission is to produce world-class learners by providing a differentiated curriculum and encouraging the mastery of communication skills and life skills so our students become respectful, contributing members of our 21st century society.
Welcome to Marion Jordan School!
We are Marion Jordan—Home of the Blue Jays!
Marion Jordan Elementary School serves children in Kindergarten through fifth grade. We proudly house self-contained special education classrooms in the Structure for Independence (SIP/Autism) program. Approximately 480 students of diverse backgrounds and cultures attend our Blue Ribbon School, as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Marion Jordan is a community of committed students, staff, and parents who are dedicated to providing a high-quality education for every child. We pride ourselves on our environment of high standards that fosters both academically prepared and socially/emotionally developed citizens. Marion Jordan is founded in many long-standing traditions. Pairing those traditions with innovation makes our school a wonderful place to learn each day.
Marion Jordan prides itself for receiving Platinum recognition from the State of Illinois for its implementation of PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports). The staff is proactive in teaching, modeling, and rewarding expected behavior. Our data shows that students are consistently Respectful, Responsible and Safe. Establishing these expectations has afforded us increased instructional time for all.
Our involved PTA provides Marion Jordan with resources that greatly benefit our students and community. Without the support of a strong parent community, our lofty goals and aspirations could not be met.
